2. How to Use Coupons
There are three ways to get a taxi: dispatch (pickup), hailing on the road, and taxi stands. From September 2023, coupons can only be used for dispatch (pickup).
From a user’s perspective:
- 'Dispatch (Pickup)' means calling a taxi to your desired location.
- 'Hailing on the road' means stopping a taxi that is driving by.
- 'Taxi stand' means getting a taxi from a designated taxi stand.
❶ How to Use Coupons for Dispatch (Pickup)
The GO app is slightly inconvenient as coupons are not automatically applied. You need to select the coupon manually.
If you make a mistake in the procedure, the coupon will not be used, so please be careful.
① Link GO Pay with your credit card.
② Set the pick-up location in the app and tap "Next."
※ Please check the pin location carefully.
The driver will come to the pin location!
③ Press the "Coupon Not Selected" button.
Do not press the "Call Taxi" button yet!
However, if the coupon is already selected, you do not need to press "Coupon Not Selected."
※ If you have multiple coupons, it seems that the oldest one is displayed at the top of the coupon selection screen.
※ If you have multiple coupons with different amounts, you can select the one you prefer.
④ After selecting the coupon, press "Call Taxi."
⑤ The app will display the time until the taxi arrives.
The driver will come to the pin location! If your current location and the pin location are different, either move to the pin location or message the driver to call you!
❷ Important Notes
※ The coupon issuance limit is up to 3 coupons per month.
You can check the coupon list in the "GO" app.
※ If you meet the above conditions, orders using coupons are also eligible for the campaign.
※ Only app dispatches are eligible.
※ Hailing on the road or taxi stand pickups, and GO BUSINESS (corporate contracts) rides are not eligible for coupons.
※ If you cancel after calling a taxi through the "GO" app, you will not be eligible for the campaign.
※ Users who have already registered with the MOV app are not eligible.
※ The campaign content may change or end without prior notice at our discretion.
※ Please update to the latest app version.

※ Coupons issued through this campaign have restrictions on payment methods and can be used by selecting the coupon when choosing the payment method.

◾️ Can multiple coupons be used at the same time?
Even if you have multiple GO Taxi coupons, only one coupon can be used per ride.
Previously, you could ask the driver to settle the fare in increments of 1,000 yen to use multiple coupons in one ride, but now you cannot use coupons when using GO PAY for in-car payments.

There is a pickup fee for app dispatches. The fee is charged when the taxi picks you up. The amount is determined by each taxi company's regulations.
